Verse of the day

 Proverbs 4:18-19 18 The path of the righteous is like the morning sun,    shining ever brighter till the full light of day. 19 But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness;    they do not know what makes them stumble.

 We must make a decision if we want to walk in the light or if we will choose to walk in darkness. To walk in the light of God is clearly the better options. When we walk contrary to God we often wonder why certain things happen to us. We are quick to blame it on bad luck, or even worse we blame God, when it is our own decisions that have brought on the trouble we are facing. While we live in a fallen word due to our sins, if we choose to walk in the light and wisdom of the lord how much better of a life we can have

Some Christmas Humor

 Answer: It's Christmas, Eve!

  • Why does Santa have 3 gardens?

  • How do you know Santa has to be a man?
Answer. No woman is going to wear the same outfit year after year.

  • What did one snowman say to the other snowman                   Answer: Do you smell carrot

  • One night a Viking named Rudolph the Red was looking out the window when he said, “It’s going to rain.”                                                         His wife asked, “How do you know?"                                   “Because Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear.”

  • Lee, A seven-year-old boy, was asked to say thanks for the Christmas dinner.  The family members bowed their heads in expectation.  Lee began his prayer, thanking God for his Mommy, Daddy, brothers, sister, Grandma, and all his aunts and uncles. Then he began to thank God for the food.He gave thanks for the turkey, the stuffing, the Christmas pudding, even the cranberry sauce. Then lee paused, and everyone waited ... and waited.  After a long silence, the young fellow looked up at his mother and asked, "If I thank God for the Brussels sprouts, won't he know that I'm lying?"

Make time for Christ this Christmas

With this busy time of year attending events, shopping, working, getting ready for family and friends. Lets make sure we all take the time to acknowledge the real reason for the season. May we all take the time to truly be thankful for a savior willing to come to earth as a child and be the sacrifice to save us from our sins and allow us to have eternal life with him.

Christmas story-The real reason for the season

Luke 2 The Birth of Jesus  1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.  4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.  8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”  13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,  14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,    and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”  15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”  16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Roman Road to Salvation

    The Roman Road to Salvation is a simple way to learn the steps necessary to have eternal life with our creator. We often use this system when teaching the kids in our Sunday school class how to become a christian and how to share their faith with others.
    It is a set of verses that are easy to memorize and simple to understand for someone of any age or level of spiritual knowledge.

   The verses are;

1. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
    Without question we have all done something contrary to Gods will.

2 Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
    The price for our sin should be death, but God loved us enough to send his son to pay the price for our sins that we can have eternal life with our lord and savior.

3. Romans 10:9 That if you confess with you mouth Jesus as Lord,and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
   God has given us a way to have our sins paid for through his son. If we will accept his gift and confess our sins and our need for a savior he will accept us as his children and save us from the punishment of sins that we deserve.

We have found this to be an excellent set of verses to explain to people new to
Gods words just how much he loves us and how we can choose to have a eternal life with him.

My Blog

Why I started a Blog.

                My blog was created for a couple different reasons, 1 to be able to discuss things on a day to day basis that I find interesting and that I think others might find interesting. The second reason is to learn more about the blogging world, how it works, how to get traffic to your sight and how to make a little money with a blog.

                While this blog is intended to be a learning tool for myself and a place to communicate my thought and ideas, I do have an idea for a blog that is related to the field I work. My hope is I will be able to design a new blog as a spot to discuss topics related to the filed I work, offer education and advice to people and make some money while I’m at it.

                This is my third day to work on this blog and it has been done with just spare time, working around work, family activities and other obligations. I have to say the process of signing up for a blog and actually getting something to appear on the web was even easier than I thought it would be. I am currently using Blogger which is run by Google. I have found their signup process for starting a blog to be very user friendly and they offer it at no charge, always a plus.. They have made it quite easy to learn and create a unique looking blog site.  For anyone interested in starting a blog for the first time, I would highly recommend Googles Blogger.

                While my blog is very new, I will continue to work on it and learn more about the process and how to make it better and attract more traffic to this site. As I improve this site I will give future updates with my progress and what I find that works and what doesn’t.

Site I found helpful in this process so far;
